Daniela Ribeiro welcomed as a subject editor at Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society
Daniela Ribeiro has joined the editorial team of the Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society (JBGS). Based at the Anton Melik Geographical Institute of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU), she is a researcher specialising in land use dynamics, landscape sustainability and the management of natural resources. She focused her research on human–nature interactions, landscape ecology, and environmental protection, paying particular attention to the management of common lands and the assessment of ecosystem services. She is also interested in bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and societal needs to support resilient socio-ecological systems and foster just transitions.
"I am delighted to be joining the Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society as a Subject Editor for Landscape Studies, Landscape Ecology, Ecosystem Services, Environmental Protection & Nature Conservation, and Rural Geography. I look forward to supporting the journal’s interdisciplinary community and helping to promote rigorous, relevant research that transcends geography and the wider earth and social sciences”.
