We've been awarded with DOAJ Seal - among the 10% journals demonstrating best practices in OA publishing

We are thrilled to share that our journal has been awarded with DOAJ Seal!

One of the key moments ending the 90th anniversary of the Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society in late 2023 was marked by the news that we've been awarded with DOAJ Seal. As officially stated on their website, the DOAJ Seal is awarded to journals that demonstrate best practices in open-access publishing. Around 10% of journals indexed in DOAJ have been awarded the Seal. There are seven criteria that a journal must meet to be eligible for the DOAJ Seal. These relate to best practices in long-term preservation, use of persistent identifiers, discoverability, reuse policies, and authors' rights.
