Ina Sieber welcomed as a subject editor at Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society
Ina M. Sieber has joined the editorial team of the Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society (JBGS). Based at the Kassel Institute for Sustainability, Ina is a researcher specializing in participatory approaches, ecosystem services, and nature-based solutions for open space planning.
Her research focuses on ecosystem-based adaptation, collaborative governance, and co-creation processes to enhance sustainability and resilience in urban and peri-urban coastal landscapes. She has contributed to mapping green spaces, assessing ecosystem services, and fostering inclusive decision-making for nature conservation and development. A significant part of her work is dedicated to social-environmental sciences, including transdisciplinary methods, integrating participatory GIS, stakeholder workshops, and mixed-methods approaches to tailor solutions to community and municipal needs.
