With SJR 2024=0.515, JBGS was ranked Q2 in Geography, Earth Sciences, and Nature and Landscape Conservation

Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society received its second SCImago Journal and Country Rank (SJR) this spring. According to the latest edition of the SJR published on 7 April 2025, our journal is ranked Q2 in three subject categories for 2024:

• Geography, Planning and Development (#292 out of 842);
• Earth and Planetary Sciences (miscellaneous) (#126 out of 370);
• Nature and Landscape Conservation (#80 out of 223)

and Q3 in another two categories:

• Ecological Modeling (#24 out of 46).
